Custom Orthotics

A custom orthotic is a device which is designed to align your foot and ankle in the most anatomically efficient position. They may look like insoles, but each pair is custom-made to address your specific foot imbalance. They reduce the stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet back into alignment.

Not everyone needs footbed orthotics, but if we do prescribe them we will need to make a three-dimensional model of your foot. Your orthotics are specific to your needs. They fit inside your shoes and help your feet perform to the peak of their ability.

The orthotics we prescribe are all manufactured by Langer in the UK. The first pair your order will be covered by a Langer Protect Policy for two years, this covers your orthotics for:

• Outgrowth — anyone under the age of 18 can have one replacement pair of outgrown orthotics during the two years of the agreement.
• Replacement — because Langer store the original casts we make and send to them they can replace lost of stolen orthotics. There is a surcharge for replacements, but it's significantly lower than the cost of purchasing a new pair.
• Total Refurbishment — your are entitled to two total refurbishments during the two-year life of your protect policy. We return to orthotics to Langer who strip them down to the shell and rebuild all padding and top covers, leaving the devices like new.
• Prescription Adjustment — you can have your prescription adjusted twice during the life of your protect policy, this is in addition to Langer's standard six-month guarantee.
