Raised in Hampshire Luke was involved with various sports throughout his childhood and into adult life, including Rugby, Cycling and Hockey. Through this interest in sport Luke discovered his passion for supporting rehab and performance. Luke was able to witness the benefits of Chiropractic care and this drove his decision to pursue a career in Chiropractic.
Luke studied at McTimoney College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Masters degree in Chiropractic 4 years later. During his time at university Luke developed a keen interest in the use of chiropractic care in treating sport related injuries, specifically concussion. This interest led to Luke writing his dissertation on the subject.
Within the Chiropractic profession there are a variety of different approaches and techniques and Luke specialises in the McTimoney technique. This is unique because only graduates of the McTimoney College are McTimoney chiropractors. The main treatment uses a very quick, specific type of adjustment that doesn't cause an audible popping or cracking sound. It can be very gentle at times and focuses on specific joints within the spine as well as the whole body. With its gentle nature, it makes it suitable for all ages. In addition to his degree programme Luke has also learnt other techniques and uses them interchangeably when treating patients.
In his time outside of work and studying Luke is a keen cyclist and is hoping to start playing rugby again at his childhood club. Luke loves to spend time off work exploring the countryside and looking for his next adventure with his family dogs.
