Gait analysis is a method for identifying biomechanical abnormalities in the gait cycle- in other words it is a way of assessing the way in which you walk and run. Using video technology our specialist clinicians will analyse your posture, stride length, hip motion and the movement of your foot as it contacts the floor.
Changes to normal gait patterns can cause a lot of stress through the ankles, knees, hips and pelvis leading to issues with these joints or even problems higher up in the chain into the spine, shoulders or neck.
It is often hard to know how well you run as you become accustomed to running in a particular way. Video gait analysis is a great tool to see for yourself what your running style is like, how you can improve it and how you can prevent damage and injury.
